Yep.. here it is, the other announcement for you all.
Cryptopsy's new singer and material might be taking everyone for a little curve but essentially its still Cryptopsy and its still Flo fucking Mounier and they will be playing a lot of old shit on the tour so anyone that wants to add "their new CD is gay" or whatever, stay home and be elite. Those that want to witness pure fucking brutality, come on out. And I actually heard the whole new CD and its hardly bad by any standards. "Worship your demons" on the myspace site is SICK.
Obviously the main attraction for many is going to be ORIGIN and thats no secret, they are easily in the top 5 or maybe even top 3 extreme metal bands on the planet and they deserve an audience. It hasnt fully set in yet that I just booked this band and when it does, Ill likely do a standing back flip which will likely end up with me in the hospital or something.
The Last Felony are going to knock people's shit right in. Fans of Quebec tech/death stuff will LOVE this band. There's a link at the bottom, I strongly advise checking them out before hand. You will not be disappointed at all.
Last time around I lost a fair share on Cryptopsy but I honestly feel that the metal community is stronger now and anyone that wants to help out with this show is welcomed to do so on their own accord. Please leave any and all facebook event pages to me for now though.

Summer always means metal shows a plenty and this summer is already shaping up with some good ones.
Neuraxis is easily one of the most amazing death metal bands around. They play a mix of thrash, death, grindcore and maybe a little mathy type stuff at times. They also happen to put on one hell of a live show. For anyone that wants a good idea of how much this band kicks fucking ass, simply click this link to the Willowtip records roster and look at the named that accompany Neuraxis, http://www.willowtip.com/bands/.... yeah, so if that doesnt put a megaphone to your ear and say "this band fucking rules" without even hearing them then I dont know what does.
With them is this little and fair unpopular band .... LOL just kidding, THEYRE BRINGING FUCK THE FACTS!!! FTF have a new touring line up and as a result their live show should feature even more brutality and intensity. Some of you might not have heard of Willowtip records so that link was needed but I am guaranteeing that everyone on here has heard of Relapse Records and know the amazing roster of bands that it boasts.
Many of us, likely most of us around these parts have seen both of these bands in the past and can say that they put on an amazing live show. This show will be amazing so let's let everyone else that hasnt seen them know that they need to be at this show to witness what is sure to be one hell of a night.

Description:
Left Spine Down (Vancouver) will be stopping in Thunder Bay on their Cross-Canada tour. LSD features members of Frontline Assembly, and ex-Black Halos. They fuse industrial, metal, punk, and drum & bass, and have been taking over Western Canada since early 2007. You can listen to their entire debut EP on their myspace page. They've shared the stage with The Birthday Massacre, DOA, SNFU, Chemlab, and the Genitorturers. Almost anyone can find something to like about these guys.
www.myspace.com/leftspinedown
Also on the bill will be Promonium Jesters (Southern Ontario) and Adaptive Reaction coming off the end of their Canadian tour. You can download an entire album for free from the Promonium Jesters website too.
www.promonium.tv
New to the scene will be Spasmod; an electro-punk band that\'s been working hard to keep up with these industrial giants.
If you're into Punk, Industrial, or even Metal, this is not a show you\'ll want to miss. LSD is really pumped to play here, so lets give them a show that'll make them want to keep coming back.

Quebec hatches yet another amazing metal band and they will be ripping up the stage at Kilroys on May 24th. Derelict blend thrash, death, grindcore and toss in scandinavian influences. I know people in the Quebec metal scene that tell me these guys put on an amazing live show and that theyre amazingly nice guys.
NOTE: I had been talking to Derelict since October about doing a show for them here, I told them to contact me closer to the date because that was too far in advance. They contacted me but I didnt get the email so they assumed I was no longer interested and then I got an email from a friend in Quebec asking why I didnt book them and thats when I found out about the lost email. All has been fixed up and arranged. However now I realize that this places 2 shows on the same night so I am going to work with Micro to make both shows attendable for all as far as price and timing goes.
There will be 2 more bands on this bill but I am waiting for confirmation from the bands prior to putting them on the list.

I dont have to tell you all about how much ass ANONYMUS kicks because anyone that likes metal in this town has probably seen them and likely know it already. But for those that maybe havent seen them or heard them...
There's a lot of talk about thrash metal these days with all the new and old thrash coming back and I can tell all of you right now that if youre a fan of those bands, you will love Anonymus. Municipal Waste and all the bands in that vein all kick a lot of ass but if you want to see probably the best thrash band that our country has to offer, come see this band because theyre schooled veterans of thrash metal and they do it very very well. These guys deliver new school thrash and old school thrash mixed with shred, prog and death metal tinges throughout.
I'm waiting on the reply from Goat about whether or not he will be back in town for this so I can get Quitting Life but if not, I will be looking for another band for this show. Ill let everyone know when I figure that out.

Mr. Plow is making his crusty return to Thunder Bay! Anyone who has seen this guy before knows how fucking funny and overall entertaining this guy is. Just a man, his geetar and a razor-sharp wit. I know this show is happening the same night as the Anonymus show so I will most likely have some sort of discount at the door if you have a wrist band/hand stamp etc from Kilroy's.

Technical hardcore masters A TEXTBOOK TRAGEDY will be rocking Thunder Bay once again on their way out East to meet up with The Holly Springs Disaster, THE END and Johnny Truant for a tour. ATT have signed to reputable metal and hardcore label DISTORT!! And will be touring in support of their newest release. ATT has been through Thunder Bay a lot of times and like THSD or many other bands that come through often they have amassed a very devoted following in town and across Canada. If you like anything from Dillinger Escape Plan to Protest the hero to Unearth you will love this band. DRUMMERS also be aware that this band showcases one of the best drummers around and even if you dont much like metalcore or relating genres, you should attend just to see the drummer.
I KNOW there's a lot of people on here that would love to see this band. The other openers have gotten a lot tougher and heavier so maybe come and give them a chance, there's still a little melodic singing in there but then again, Textbook has a little too. If you dont wanna give them a chance and cant ignore their haircuts and clothing and just listen to the music then show up at around 9:30 and just see Faceless and Textbook kick the fuck out of the place.

Yes, theyre coming back again. This time Threat Signal's set will be twice as long, the show will be cheaper and the show is on a sweet ass Saturday night and you can mosh and rock out until your heart's are content. All these things point to the fact that everyone should go to this show. I have had this confirmed for some time now but as a show of good faith I waited until after the 31st Supernova performance to announce.

To me, this is a metal show, not a metalcore show, not screamo and not nu-metal. I feel this way because none of the touring bands are metalcore at all as far as my ears go. Sure there's no corpse paint, no pentagrams and you can read the bands logos just fine without a week of research but theres also a whole SHITLOAD of great metal players on this bill.
Im not going to lie, I think the straight up metalheads will dislike Bleed for Summer, I like em but I can say that closed metal heads will 100% not. Plain and simple facts. So lets move on.
Choking on Static are a new local band. And I can bet that if the metalheads look past the way these guys look and give their talent and music a chance that youll be surprised because they are tough. One of the most badass young drummers Ive ever seen, a crazy diverse singer and some great talent on 6 and 4 strings as well. Give them a chance.
SUICIDE SILENCE hail from California and are the band most likely to appeal to the true metal heads. Lots of guitar shred, lots of thrash, lots of blast beats and a very versatile singer. Theyre on Century Media and theyre one hell of a fuckin band. This is 100% the most metal band on this show. www.myspace.com/suicidesilence
AUGUST BURNS RED come from Pennsylvania and theyre the band on the bill I know least about but from the music Ive heard they sound like a mix of Hatesphere, Ebony Tears, Fear Factory and Killswitch Engage. If you like those bands, youll like these guys, if not, oh well. www.myspace.com/augustburnsred
DARKEST HOUR are from DC and they have some credentials to boast. Theyve done albums with Fredrik Nordstrom and Devin Townsend, they have toured with a lot of very big metal names including a slot on this year's Sounds of the Underground tour, they write politically fueled thrash metal and they put on one hell of a stage show. Their guitarist is also a fucking shred MONSTER. www.myspace.com/darkesthour
UNEARTH are out of Boston and theyre a name that a lot of people know. They have had a lot of success in the last few years and its only getting bigger for them. A lot of metal fans seem to think theyre some cheese screamo band but the shred their guitarists deliver and the absolute assault that their drummer (former Red Chord drummer) delivers takes that notion off the table. Think Inflames, At The Gates meets American hardcore. www.myspace.com/unearth
So essentially, there it is.. go to the show if you want, dont go if you dont want but there's no need to sit here and flame this thread. Ill say it again, if you dont like a band, dont go see them but I can say that if the metalheads give this show a chance theyll likely find something theyll enjoy at some point.

Thine Eyes Bleed have really built a name for themselves. Let me tell you how they have done that. Let's start with the fact that they have Tom Araya from SLAYER's younger brother Johnny on bass, that never hurts. Then you factor in that they have toured with LAMB OF GOD, SLAYER, MASTODON, SIX FEET UNDER, CHILDREN OF BODOM, IN FLAMES, KITTIE and tonnes of other bands. They were also a support band on the Unholy Alliance tour in the US, Canada and all over Europe with Lamb of God, Slayer and Children of Bodom. Their guitarist Jeff Phillips their guitarist was also in Kittie for a good while as their touring guitarist. That's a whole lot of great success for a band from London Ontario.
Mix THINE EYES BLEED together with 4 of the best metal bands this town has EVER spawned and you have yourself a bloody amazing hellride of a show. A TRUE and REAL metal show if there ever was one. Let's all show these bands what this town is made of.
